Kristin Summers of Tacoma, Washington, is the owner and vision behind the Hands Can Learning Community. Kristin’s love of learning expands to the love of people. She has a big heart for teaching and is invested in seeing her students succeed by providing educational experiences that are engaging and life-changing! She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Western Oregon University and more than 15 years of formal classroom teaching in both public and private school settings. Additionally, she has used her teaching skills and diverse background to work with adults experiencing disabilities, as well as teach and create curriculum for students in community schools and church settings.
Kristin sees the Hands Can Learning Community as a vital, supplemental link for students enrolled in public or private school settings. Hands Can Learning Community’s integrated and project-based learning experiences will enrich, strengthen and engage students with the world they live in; creating a strong foundation for years to come.
